To enhance the economic opportunities for the rural youth, it is imperative that skills relevant to the Industry be given to them. Rashtrapati Bhavan has partnered with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Ministry of Skill Development (MSDE) for understanding the training needs of the villages and providing quality training focusing on employability to the Youth.
A door to door survey in all the five villages has been conducted to assess the status of skill availability, skill gap, aspiration of the youth and skill sets required in the local industry with the help of NSDC. Based on this input, NSDC has assigned training partners to conduct training under PMKVY-2 to the willing youth. A training center has been opened in Udyogkunj, Alipur as a central place where these trainings can be conducted.
Companies like TCS have also volunteered to train willing youth in IT and related skills and give exposure of industry to them to enhance their employability in the Industry.
A Multi Skill Center is being planned with the help of Ministry of Skill Development in one of the villages to accelerate the effort of in the field of skill development. For this purpose, the village of Dhaula has already come forward to donate land belonging to Grampanchayat.
NSDC in consultation with CSC-SPV, Paytm, National Payment Corporation of India has provided one day training to villagers on digital / financial literacy.
This is the initiative of Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST), an NGO that works with the youth to turn job seekers into job creators. Under the initiative, at least 200 business ideas of the youth from these villages would be collected, out of which 100 ideas would be selected for support. 10-15 entrepreneurs/ youth from each village would be provided mentoring and training.
